A visit to Wild Wadi Water park promises an unforgettable aquatic adventure for you and your family any time of the year, thanks to Dubai’s warm weather. The Wild Wadi waterpark which is located right next to the famous Burj Al Arab on Jumeirah beach road is Dubai’s most iconic and one of the world’s most colorful and beautiful waterparks. It is themed and designed around the famous Arabian folklore character, namely the legend of Juha, who sailed across the world. The water park has three giant pools and 17 slides with 30 different rides and attractions suitable to entertain all ages.
The rides at Wild Wadi Waterpark are of three categories, Daring, and waves of fun for the thrill seekers, much more relaxing and gentler rides for those not attracted to the speed, and those rides are kids friendly.
This stands at 32 meters in height overseeing the whole park; it is the Wild wadi water park’s most popular and thrilling ride that lets you test your limits. This ride begins at the top of the tower with a rushing speed slide of 50 miles per hour through a 120-meter-long see-through chamber. The twin slides that sit side by side allow two riders to race each other, making it even more fun.
Some of the other thrilling rides are,
The Burj Surj: Yet another downhill spiraling water slide where you sit on a tube and is hurtled into two spiraling spins and dropped into the slide traveling downhill to the bowl of the pool with a big splash of water.
The Master blasters: These rides will rocket you up to 15 meters above ground level, starting from White water wadi and Flood River flyer.
The Tantrum Alley: It Lets you experience the only aquatic rollercoaster in the world where three tornadoes are incorporated. Here you sit on a four-person tube and hit the Tantrum Alley slide, which joins two large sections of downhill waterslides and the three tornadoes. The flooded river is an adventure of wild rides on a tube in an artificial wild river where 100,000 liters of water flows while creating waves over 1 meter high and sudden river rapids.
Wipeout and Riptide flow riders: The ultimate surfing experience for every surf fanatic to test their bodyboarding and knee-boarding skills. This is where wave machines shoot up to 7 tons of water per second, creating powerful and realistic fast-flowing waves. Wipeout and Riptide are four such surfing places in the world.
Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon: The ultimate family play area where the kids will love to venture and explore. The giant playground is an interactive play structure with hundreds of activities, including five slides, racing slides, dumping buckets, and water guns.
Juha’s Journey: The 360 meter long and lazy river of Juha’s journey, which is interconnected with 13 rides for a non-stop journey, will guarantee you a peaceful cruise on an inflatable tube along the river. This is the ideal spot to take your time after all those crazy rides. Moreover, you can also hire a private cabana with sun loungers, beds, hammocks, and attentive staff to serve you at the lazy river for some quiet downtime.
There is also a water show at the park entrance where the crowd gathers to watch the “Wadi Washed,” a choreography of light, sound, and water. This takes place throughout the day and is a seven-minute display, where more than 60,000 tons of water are sent crashing down a cliff face, lightning flashes, and thunder cracks occur.
The Wild Wadi Water Park is open every day. The closing hours may vary throughout the year, and the ticket prices are usually reduced during the last two hours before the park’s closing. Most Wild Wadi water park rides are interconnected, so you do not have to get out of the water to get in line.
Fast passes are available at the gate with additional charges. This pass lets you skip the ride line but only applies to the Wipeout flow rider and White-water wadi.
